Belvedere Tower - XIXth century

The Belvedere Tower itself, the highest part of the Castle, is right above the Knights Hall and is connected to it by a panoramic staircase which gives onto the roof tops.  A stunning 360° view of the entire area can be enjoyed from here, and on a clear day the mountains of Tuscany can be seen.  From this magical place one’s eyes rest on the beauty of the Umbrian landscape, still pristine in this part of the region, remaining unchanged as seen by the innumerable poets and artists, musicians and authors who came here to Umbria from all over the world in search of inspiration.   Go to the second part of the text
